22 Players from 4 different states branded the Lady Eagles jerseys and got themselves to Florida for the weekend. Some making the long drive and some (especially our friends from Boston) took planes to the Sunshine state. Sadly the only sunshine this weekend was the faces of our players on ice.

The ladies played in two divisions verses the Atlanta Lady Thrashers, Crunch and the Fort Myers Red Queens. The first team up at 7:45am on Saturday was the U19's vs the the Tampa Bay Crunch. As the girls were getting to know each other they lost the game 4-1 the loan goal scored by #97 Cassie Voderbrug. Refreshing and bouncing back for Atlanta got our goalie Grayson a lopsided shutout. Next up was a rematch vs Tampa. The game was very even with both goalies making some amazing saves. The tie was broken by a move by #31 Shelby Reaugh to make it 1-0. This was followed by an empty netter by #4 Avery DiPasquale from the red line. Another win in the morning and the tournament was the Eagles. Thank you to our new friends from Boston and Tampa for joining us for the weekend. We hope to see you at the rink soon.

The 12's came to Tampa with a core group of this seasons Lady Eagles plus some lady Rush and a 5' 9" sister from Boston. This group was deemed the Elite 8+ and was a bit nervous to start. They showed great support of the 19's by watching their early morning game. Well actually there was a scheduling snafu and Lady Eagle Rule #3 applies here.

The message to the 12's from Coach Prazych was hydrate, spread out and make good passes. The girls took the first game vs the Red Queens 6-0 and the score only increased from there.

Following up wins vs Atlanta and a reinforced Tampa (they added some 14's) the final game was vs the Red Queens for the championship. Again the Elite 8+ took the game going 40 to 1 in goals for the weekend. While the competition was not as stiff as we would have liked all the girls had a great time bonding this weekend and having life long friends. We have taken the banner for Georgia and south, so now next up State Games for the battle for NC. #LadyEaglesSoar

The 12's also had a special shoutout to Suzahn who has been recovering from a hospitalization and is now home recovering. We wish you well!!!

When things get a bit tense you can always count on the goalies to liven the mood a bit.
